At Harney Construction, the Harney Principles guide all of our work. Quality craftsmanship, a long-standing commitment to sustainability, and a trustworthy relationship with our clients go hand-in-hand with a strategic Whole-House Approach to building. We know that features of one component in a house, such as appliances, can greatly affect other areas, such as heating and cooling, which ultimately affect the overall energy-efficiency of a home.

Specifically, we use low and no-VOC paints and finishes; FSC-certified wood; reuse and recycle construction waste; source materials locally whenever possible; and use non-toxic, fume-free lumber, drywall and insulation. As a result, our clients’ homes consume less energy and therefore save money, have lower maintenance costs, have better air quality, and less greenhouse gas emissions. |
